“While many New Yorkers look forward to next summer, others are wary of the extreme heat often associated with this season and the heightened health risks it can bring,” said Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance Commissioner Mike Hein.

“This funding helps eligible low-income individuals and families cool their homes and avoid the possibility of summer heat aggravating a loved one’s medical condition,” Hein stated.
